First Scenic point: Kansu Plum Awakening in Spring
The scenery is at the Entrance from the hill to the lake, and there are many Gliricidia sepium (cherry blossom) on the left hand side of the hill. Upland is in front of the front door, the statue of the Late President Chiang Kai-shek is right in the middle of the upland. Behind the statue, there are Freshwater Aquarium and Seawater Aquarium on each side. The Pavilion of Liberty lifts right on the top of the hill; on the hillside, there is a Magpie Bridge across the Pond of Lotus.
Second scenic point: Bend Bridge Fishing for the Moon
The scope of the scenery is from Ningjing Park to recreation ground which includes Nine-Curved Bridge, Feng Yuan Pravilion and Ci Huei Building.
Third scenic point: Viewing Lotus from the Shore of the Willow
The scope of the third scenery is from recreation ground to the end of Gan Quan Bridge. The roads are named after the flowers and trees since there are plenty series of plants along the roads. On each side of the road, there are flower beds and parterres named “Hundred-flower Mound”. On the right side of Gan Quan Bridge where is an area of lotus, about 5 hectares big. At lakeside, willows flutter with the wind and boats hidden within the weeping willows. (At present Archery Field and Boating Spot have closed down, 5.7 hectares of lotus were all killed by exotic fishes and plant pathogens, we are now planning for restoration and replanting.)
Fourth scenic point: Viewing the Sea from the Hilltop
Start from Gan Quan Bridge, go along the roadway, there are Bell Tower, Fu Guo Isle and Si Yuan Pavilion. Zhung Xing Pagoda is on the highest part of the Lake where you can see the panoramic view of the whole lake; furthermore, skyscrapers of Kaohsiung City and ships of Kaohsiung Harbor can be seen gleamingly.
Fifth scenic point: Sounds of Animals from Deep Forest
The scope of the scenery is from Zhong Xing Tower through Thousand Woods to Lanxiu Building. In this area, there are various precious plants and fragrant flowers with fresh smell.
Sixth scenic point: Pleasant Atmosphere of Lake and Hill
The scenery is on the opposite part of the Thousand Woods which is a garden for deceased patriots.
Seventh scenic point:Three Pavilions Tour
It is on the hill within the Lake, and about 500 meters to Chengcing Lake Youth Activity Center. The three pavilions are circle, hexagon and octagon. Each pavilion can accommodate 3~40 people. Along the lake, there are coconut trees and stone benches where is a perfect place for enjoying the sunrise, and admire the full moon during the Moon Festival.
Eighth scenic point: Gold pours out from Pengdao
This area is on the east side of the lake. During the sunset, the still water reflects the afterglow which sparkles and ripples as golden and silver waves rush upon the shores. The entire area is just like the view of West Lake of Hangchow. Therefore, it was named as “Gold pours out from Pengdao”.
